SIBU: Defence Minister Mohamad Sabu, commonly known as Mat Sabu, yesterday visited the 31st Infantry Brigade at Junaco Park camp here.
He was accompanied by Army Field Command East commander Lieutenant General Datuk Wira Zamrose Mohd Zain and 31st Infantry Brigade Commander Brigadier General Datuk Johnny Lim Eng Seng.
Mat Sabu arrived at the camp at 4.56pm and was welcomed by senior officers of the Infantry Brigade.
The minister, who was visiting theå camp for first time, was taken to the office for a briefing.
After that, he toured the camp before taking part in a luncheon at the Junaco Park Camp Dining Hall.
Earlier, Mat Sabu visited ‘Rumah Keluarga Angkatan Tentera (RKAT)’at Rascom Camp and officiated at the presentation of Pingat Jasa Malaysia (PJM) and Pingat Kedaulatan Negara (PKN).
