KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) has encouraged local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who are interested in identifying new potential export markets to register for the second Matrade-Google workshop, slated to be held on Oct 6, 2021 on the Market Finder tool.
In a statement today, Matrade said the digital tool training provided by Google would assist SMEs to reduce the costs of undertaking export businesses amid the lingering impact of the pandemic.
It said the workshop provides detailed insights to help simplify the export journey of SMEs into three simple steps.
“First, to identify potential markets relevant to the SME businesses; second, to provide useful information for exports on payments, logistics, localisation, tax and legal, customer care and recruitment.
“And third, to successfully market SME businesses abroad, which covers six key aspects of online and offline marketing such as search, display, video, application (app) analytics or measurement and strategy,” it said.
The workshop is free of charge and the registration can be made online via http://bit.ly/mdbg-matrade OR https://events.withgoogle.com/mahir-digital/registrations/new/
Recapping the first session held on Aug 6, 2021, Matrade said it had received an overwhelming response with participation from 500 Malaysian SMEs.
“It is worthy for our SMEs to participate in this practical and easy-to-understand workshop in getting themselves ready for export.
“Through this Matrade-Google strategic export facilitation collaboration, I am confident that our SMEs taking part in this workshop will benefit and be able to enhance their skill sets and venture global market,” said its chief executive officer Mustafa Abdul Aziz. – Bernama
