KUCHING: Maxim E-Hailing Malaysia has generously provided all members of the Sarawak Society for the Blind (SSB) with a complimentary RM50 promo code for their e-hailing services.
Maxim E-Hailing director Mohd Hazwan Musley said the initiative is part of the collaboration between both parties, which signifies Maxim’s commitment to improve the e-hailing service towards the blind community.
He added that Maxim E-hailing provides three accesses to the SSB’s admins to make bookings within the Sarawak area for free.
“And as for the RM50 promo code to all members out there around 1,800 members will receive it. Discounts will also be given for each journey.”
He said this in his speech during the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing ceremony between Maxim and SSB at SSB’s building here on Monday (April 8).
Hazwan explained that Maxim E-hailing is always concerned and cares about its service users, providing the best support.
“This includes assisting those in need, from various aspects including sharing free rides with Maxim.
“I myself came across an article from a local media on Facebook on March 22, 2024, regarding the association requesting the e-hailing company to provide more reasonable rates, especially for those in need.
“And I feel that this is a good opportunity for us to channel our help by providing to them.”
The initiative is also part of charity project done in conjunction with the month of Ramadan.
“It is very meaningful for us to be able to share blessings together, and we hope that the association can benefit from the facilities provided.
“We will also always stay in touch if assistance is needed regarding bookings, driver-partner relations, or anything else.”
At the same event, Maxim also extended a helping hand by providing food assistance towards several families from SSB that are gearing up for the celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Present during the MoU signing ceremony were SSB chairman Ronald Thomas Ronny Law and other distinguished guests.
