KOTA SAMARAHAN: May has been a great one with cultural and food festivals, as well as sports events dominating the month thus far, said Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) chairman Datuk Peter Minos.
The said the events, Bung Bratak Day, Samarahan Food and Cultural Festival and Samarahan Hock Seng Lee (HSL) Marathon had help to create goodwill and unity among the people.
“It gave great satisfaction for us, the organisers, seeing fellow Sarawakians meeting and interacting with each other.
“Nothing compares to that feeling. It is all very rewarding even though it is not very easy to organise the festivals and events. The challenges were worth the efforts,” he said in a recent statement.
Despite the difficulty in organising the events, Peter felt that it is all rewarding due to the turnout.
“The challenges were worth the efforts and all helped in making Sarawak a united and harmonious place and that matters a lot,” he said.
