KUCHING: The Mayor’s Walk organised by the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) is expected to attract more than 10,000 participants.

MBKS Mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng who welcomed the public’s participation called on them to show up early at the event location along Jalan Canna Lily Boulevard on Aug 18.

“We have prepared about 10,000 special t-shirts for the participants, and of course, those who want to join can come anytime on the event day (Aug 18).

“You can come with the same event t-shirt from last year or any t-shirt you want because we let the participants decide what colour they want to wear.

“However, it would be better if you have a yellow t-shirt, so come and join us,” he said during a press conference for the Kuching Festival: Mayor’s Walk 2024 at the MBKS building here Monday.

The Mayor’s Walk aims to promote a healthy lifestyle with people from various backgrounds walking together and participating in recreational activities while raising environmental awareness.
