KUCHING: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) will be opening counters in its One-Stop Service Centre for ratepayers under its jurisdiction to pay their assessment bills.
MBKS said the counters will be opened this coming Saturday (Oct 29) from 8am to 4pm and Sunday (Oct 30) from 8am until 12pm.
It said the assessment bills for the first and second half of 2022 have been issued either through the post office or hand despatch by the Council’s staff.
“The due date for payment in the first half of 2022 is on May 31 and for the second half of 2022 would be on October 31, and payment after the due date will be subjected to a surcharge at one percent per month or part thereof.
“On no account will consideration be given to waive the surcharge on the ground of non-receipt of the assessment bills,” it said.
Ratepayers who have not received or have misplaced their assessment bills are requested to come to MBKS One-Stop Service Centre (ground floor) at Dewan Bandaraya Kuching Selatan, Jalan Padungan, Kuching or the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC), first floor, Jalan Bukit Mata, Kuching, where copy of bills will be issued upon request.
Ratepayers may use e-payment Ratepayers may use E-payment mode to pay their bills by accessing through www.paybillsmalaysia.com, https://service.sarawak.gov.my, Sarawak Pay or via internet banking through CIMB Bank Berhad, Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad, Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Berhad, Bank Islam, Public Bank Berhad, JomPay and Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN).
They could also opt to perform the payment of assessment rate at the Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) counters, SESCO payment counters, Kuching Water Board payment Counters, Post Office payment counters, DBKU payment counters, MPP payment Counters, UTC payment counters or at MBKS payment counters; Ground Floor, Dewan Bandaraya Kuching Selatan, Jalan Padungan, 93675 Kuching.
Payment by credit cards can also be made at MBKS payment counters.
