At its launch on December 5, a large crowd gathered at the new MBT store in Kuala Lumpur’s latest mall, The Exchange TRX. Familiar faces like Datin Elaine Daly, former Miss Universe Malaysia and also its current national director, and popular Malaysian model, actress, TV host and brand ambassador, Amber Chia, were seen liking each other choices of the trendy looking sporty shoes at the event.
After the opening ceremony, a fashion show was held within the store where the mostly Caucasian-looking models paraded in casual, walking, running, and sports shoes matched with street and sporty fashion.
Some of the guests, especially the women, seem to focus on their aesthetic shoes.
Well, we have seen celebrity deejays, singers and actors in athleisure footwear, which is one of the hottest trends at the moment. However, if these shoes are only aesthetically pleasing but uncomfortable to wear, they are of no use.
In the same way, if the shoes are comfortable to wear but not eye-pleasing, no one will prefer to wear them. Athleisure footwear should not be confused with sports shoes, though.
Hosting the occasion was radio and TV personality Serena C, who also showed off her pair of MBT.
