KUCHING: A 29-year-old mechanic died when the motorcycle he was riding, crashed at Jalan Batu Kawa near Taman Highfield last Saturday (Mar 6).
Sarawak Traffic Police chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the incident happened around 6.15pm when the victim, Ahmad Atmaden Saat, was travelling alone from Bau.
“The victim was heading towards Kuching city when he apparently lost control of his bike, crashed into a wall on the left side of the road and landed in the middle of the road.
“The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from Sarawak General Hospital (SGH),” he said.
The victim’s body was later taken to SGH for further actions.
Alexson said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
