BINTULU: Firefighters were called into action regarding a pre-dawn fire at Medan Sentral here on New Year’s Day.
The incident occurred at 4.31am inside a food and beverage shop.
A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said that firemen from Bintulu station were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire.
Upon arrival, they discovered that the flames had resulted in damages to the kitchen equipment within the establishment.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.
The cause of the fire and losses incurred are still under investigation.
