KUCHING: A 28-year-old medical officer has been arrested for allegedly molesting a woman at a local hospital here.
The incident allegedly happened on Thursday (Dec 29) at around 11.30am.
Acting Kuching district police chief Supt Merbin Lisa said the suspect took advantage of the woman, 39, while undergoing a medical examination.
He said the suspect will be investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of up to 10 years or whipping or both, upon conviction.
Merbin advised the public not to speculate on the incident, adding that they should let police carry out investigations without any hindrance.
