KUCHING: With the Fourth Asean International Film Festival and Awards (Aiffa) scheduled to take place tomorrow (April 25), fans should be ready as Hollywood martial art star Steven Seagal will be making his way to town and Siniawan this coming Sunday (April 28).
According to Serembu assemblyman Miro Simuh, the American actor will be in Siniawan at 10am and will be visiting the Swee Guk Kung Temple, Siniawan Heritage Town Street and the Buddhist Village.
Siniawan, a small town in the Bau district is located about 20km away from Kuching.
“Seagal is a Buddhist, and the organiser of Aiffa has suggested to bring him to Siniawan where he can visit the place and at the same time, pray at the said temple,” Miro told New Sarawak Tribune yesterday.
He added that he would also be joining the team to bring Seagal around Siniawan.
“All are welcome to have a glimpse of him,” he said.
Meanwhile, Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said in a recent press conference, Seagal will be in town throughout the three-day festival, where he will be meeting his fans at the Kuching Old Courthouse on April 27 at 3pm.
