KUCHING: The Megalanes Bowling Centre in Batu Kawa here has been designated as the venue for the tenpin bowling event in conjunction with the 21st Malaysia Games (SUKMA) in August.
The tenpin bowling event is scheduled to take place from August 14 to 20, with the participation of all 13 states as the participation from Brunei Darussalam is yet to be confirmed.
The bowling centre is expected to accommodate up to 200 spectators at a time, including players and tournament officials.
Earlier, a special visit by government agencies was conducted to observe the preparations that are underway and to listen to the briefing by the Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC) on Sunday (Mar 17).
It is made to understand that Megalanes Bowling Centre features a total of 42 competition lanes on the event day, with a total of 24 athletes registered so far.
