BINTANGOR: Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing witnessed the handover session of the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) project site recently.

The implementation of the RTP is under the supervision of the Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) Sarikei Division for the construction of a new bridge on Kebun Sungai Rayah Bintangor Road, with a project cost of RM100,000.

While inspecting the construction of the bridge, Ding expressed great satisfaction and commended the contractors for completing the project ahead of the scheduled timeline.

According to Ding, the Sarawak government is always striving to provide the best and caring facilities to meet the needs of the people by allocating significant funds through RTP projects to upgrade the basic infrastructure of rural areas.

In addition, Ding praised executing agencies such as DID Sarikei for consistently taking firm action in monitoring the work carried out by contractors.

He emphasised that it is not only necessary to ensure compliance with all specifications but also crucial that projects are completed according to the established schedule.
