MIRI: Mercure Miri, in collaboration with Cavakita, is set to host Mercure Weekender 3.0, a two-day immersive experience celebrating Sarawak’s rich cultural heritage through a modern artistic lens.

The event on Aug 30-31, promises a sensory feast with captivating performances, interactive installations, and a stellar lineup of DJs from across Southeast Asia.

The event kicks off on Friday with “Beyond Culture,” scheduled from 9 pm to 2am at the Terabai Grand Ballroom.

This opening night aims to highlight Sarawak’s indigenous cultures through a contemporary perspective.

Guests will be treated to a multi-sensory journey featuring traditional art forms, cultural performances, and interactive displays.

The atmosphere will be set by a diverse selection of DJs, delivering an eclectic mix of house and techno music to complement the cultural exploration.

The second day will continue the festivities with “Merdecure,” a Merdeka party at Cavakita Rooftop Bar from 3pm to 11pm.

This event celebrates Malaysia’s Independence Day with a sun-soaked rooftop party featuring stunning views, cocktails, and an exciting lineup of DJs from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Brunei.

The Cavakita Rooftop Bar, with its picturesque backdrop, offers the perfect setting for a day of music, mingling, and celebration.

One of the key highlights of Mercure Weekender 3.0 is its emphasis on cultural fusion, where attendees will experience the convergence of Sarawakian culture through art, music, and interactive experiences.

The weekend will feature performances from four main performers: Adrian Jo Milang, Salomon Gau, Munsang Labang, and Rining Peter Paris and Feridi Dawat.

In addition to the cultural performances, the event will host 11 well-known DJs, including Kara Elle, Kylie Nicole, and Prince of Borneo.
