BINTULU: Another metal object believed to be debris from China’s Long March 5B rocket was found in the private garden area of ​​Rh Ngadan, Sungai Kurong, Suai, here, Monday (Aug 8) afternoon.

A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said they received a call regarding the discovery at around 2.19 pm.

He said a team from Batu Niah Bomba was sent to the location.

“Upon arrival, they found an unidentified object in the oil palm plantation area about 100m from the Ngadan longhouse, Sungai Kurong, Suai.

“After making a size-up, and ascertaining the exact location, the team used full protective clothing and breathing apparatus.”

According to the statement, the team found a gray-coloured object one foot high embedded in the ground. They took some pictures of the object for further action and reference.

In the meantime, the residents of the longhouse involved are advised not to approach the area for the time being.
