Bonny revealed that the fire extinguishers presented to the longhouse chiefs at the programme were donated by Tellian State Assemblyman, Yussibnosh Balo, through Mukah FRD. At the event, Bonny also advised the residents of the longhouses to take extra precaution especially while preparing for the forth-coming Christmas Day Celebration and welcoming the New Year 2018.

“With Christmas celebration just around the corner, I wanted the residents of the longhouses in the area to place their safety above all things especially in the preparation of celebrating the auspicious occasion.

Such precaution should also apply to the preparation of welcoming New Year 2018, especially involving the cooking and the usage of electricity, and even such things as using matches(lighter) and candles in the longhouse,” reiterated this officer-in-charge of Mukah FRD.
