Ministry seizes 16,000 litres of illegally stored diesel

KUCHING: The Ministry of Domestric Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDN) Sarawak have seized diesel worth over RM30,000 in an operation yesterday (May 14).

The seizure was made during routine inspections on a premises at an industrial area in Kuching.

A total of 32 intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) containing 16,000 litres of diesel valued at around RM39,500 were found at the site.

The ministry said the case is being investigated under Section 20 of the Control of Supplies Act 1961, pertaining to the transportation and storage of controlled goods from premises not licensed or authorised by the Controller of Supply.
