KUCHING: The Ministry of Food Industry, Commodity, and Regional Development has entered into an agreement with Konsortium Malaysia to carry out the Song-Ngemah Master Plan Study.
M-FICORD was represented by its permanent secretary, Sirai Daha, and deputy permanent secretary, Sayed Ismail Nasiruddin Wan Hashim, while Konsortium Malaysia was represented by Datuk Alhadi Ibrahim and Cheong Choo Yong during a signing ceremony at M-FICORD’s office recently.
For the record, Song and Ngemah have been identified as the ‘dabai belt’ development area. Therefore, the study will be conducted to identify the most suitable areas in Song and Ngemah for dabai cultivation.
Additionally, the study aims to identify other crops besides dabai that are suitable for cultivation in the Song and Ngemah areas.
