Minor damage in factory fire

MIRI: Fire broke out at a glass manufacturing factory here early Saturday morning but fortunately only did minor damage.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said a team of seven firemen from the Miri Sentral fire station were rushed to scene to the scene at Jalan Prunus, Piasau Utara on being alerted at 6.15am.
“On their arrival, it was found that the fire had affected a wood cutting machine and a pile of wood at the back of the glass factory,” it said.
