MIRI: The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) spent nearly one hour cutting up and removing an uprooted tree following heavy rain and thunderstorm here on today (April 24).

Personnel spent nearly one hour removing the uprooted tree.

The uprooted tree was obstructing a section of the road along Taman Desa Pujut.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

A Miri APM spokesperson said a four-man team was dispatched to the scene after responding to a distress call at 1.28pm.

They were also assisted by staff of Miri City Council.
