BINTULU: For the first time, the prestigious Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) will grace the roads of Miri and Bintulu.

The 28th edition of the tour, themed “Beat the Heat,” will feature an exciting eight-stage race from Sept 29 to Oct 6, spanning across 11 states.

The seventh stage, scheduled for Oct 5, will commence in Miri at the Waterfront, covering a distance of 199.3 kilometres.

Cyclists will traverse through key areas like Jalan Permaisuri, Jalan Miri-Pujut, and the Bintulu-Miri Highway, culminating at Lasar Kenyalang in Bintulu.

On Oct 6, the Bintulu Loops stage will take place entirely within Bintulu, covering a distance of 166.8 kilometres.

Cyclists will navigate through Lasar Kenyalang, Jalan Sultan Iskandar, Jalan Kidurong, and other local routes before returning to Lasar Kenyalang.

To ensure a smooth event, the LTdL 2024 Implementation Committee for Miri and Bintulu held a coordination meeting, chaired by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development, Morshidi Frederick.
