MIRI: About 63 people donated their blood at a blood donation event in conjunction with World Donor Day, which took place at KPJ Miri Specialist Hospital today (July 3).

The event was organised by the Miri Hospital Blood Bank, Miri Red Crescent Society, and KPJ Miri Specialist Hospital.

The event aimed to make more people aware of the importance of donating blood and how it can save lives. Many people showed interest, with a total of 89 individuals signing up to help.

Each donation can potentially save up to three lives.

World Donor Day is an international celebration that recognises the valuable contribution of blood donors and encourages more people to participate.

This campaign happens every year at KPJ Miri.
