BAU: More health camps should be held to facilitate hassle-free health screenings for the community, says Serembu assemblyman Miro Simuh.

He said this after officiating at the health camp programme organised by the Health Ministry (KKM) in collaboration with the Kospen (Komuniti Sihat Pembina Negara) and the Neighbourhood Watch (KRT) of Kampung Bijuray over the weekend.

Miro said health care was very important which the public should be take seriously.

Fully supporting health care programmes, he thanked the Health Ministry in Bau for its efforts in organising such programmes.

The State Public Communication Unit (Ukas) reported that among the health screenings carried out for free by KKM Bau were for blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, sugar content, pap smear and dental examination.

A blood donation drive was also held during the health camp.

Also present were medical officer in charge of the Krokong Health Clinic Dr. Nur Adillah Ahmad Nasir, Kuching unity officer Martini Joseph and Krokong Clinic medical officer Dr. Lee Jia Jing.
