Buda was brought to Kapit Hospital in a BOMBA vehicle.

KAPIT: Kapit Police chief, DSP Freddy Bian yesterday confirmed that the missing 72-year-old man,  Buda Win of RumahGawan Tuan, Lepong Baleh was found noon last Tuesday.

“The search and rescue (SAR) team comprising the police, BOMBA, RELA and longhouse residents found him (Buda) safe but weak and exhausted. He was found him at a stream in a valley a few kilometres away from the longhouse on the other side of Jalan Mujong. As he was too weak to walk he has to be carried by members of the SAR team. A BOMBA vehicle then took him to Kapit Hospital for health screening,” said Freddy when met by the media.

The four-day SAR operation conducted from Saturday until Tuesday involved the Police, BOMBA, RELA and residents of Rumah Gawan Tuan.

Freddy also took the opportunity to thank all those involved in the SAR operation.

Earlier Buda Win left his longhouse on 3 March around 8am to look for jungle produce in a forest nearby.
