MIRI: A 39-year-old man, Budi Budin, who had been reported missing since November 2, was found safe early yesterday morning (Nov 13) on the sixth day of the search and rescue (SAR) operation.
Budin was discovered at a hut in an orchard in Ulu Beraya, approximately 15 kilometres from his home.
According to Batu Niah Fire and Rescue Station Chief Rary Binjie, the SAR team was notified of Budin’s discovery at 7.26 am.
By 7.45 am, Rary and his team had arrived at Budin’s residence in Kampung Beraya Batu 1 to verify the report.
Budin, missing for 11 days, was found unharmed.
The search operation concluded successfully at 9 am, bringing relief to Budin’s family and the community.
