BAU: A 30-year-old man who went missing at a river in Kampung Buso here has been found safe but weak.
The man was believed to have fallen from a jetty in the village at 9.40pm on Sunday.
The river is about five feet deep with strong water currents.
A search and rescue operation was immediately activated after the village chief lodged a police report about an hour later.
The man was found by a team of firefighters around 1.45am on the river bank about 100 metres from the spot where he fell.
He was later taken to Bau Hospital for treatment.
Also present were two police officers.
