Missing quinquagenarian found dead in Kung Phin Villa

KUCHING: The lifeless body of a 58-year-old man who had gone missing was discovered near Kung Phin Villa today (Jan 20).

The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said it received a call from the Kota Sentosa Police Station at 8.40am regarding the incident, following information from the victim’s wife, stating that the victim had not returned home for more than 24 hours.

Upon receiving details about the victim’s last known location, the Bomba team conducted a search in the surrounding area and nearby forest.

The search, which took only 15 minutes, led to the discovery of the victim lying unconscious in the nearby forest.

Subsequently, Bomba contacted the police and the Health Ministry (KKM) for further action.

Paramedics confirmed the victim’s death at the scene, and the body was handed over to the police for necessary procedures.
