BINTULU: The body of a 14-year-old boy, believed to have been attacked by a crocodile in Sungai Kuala Tatau, has been found.
The body, minus the right hand and several other parts, was discovered around 12.20am early this morning.
The victim, identified as Affanirul Abdullah, was located about 400m from the location where he disappeared on Monday.
A search and rescue operation was immediately launched by Tatau firefighters after receiving a report at 1.28pm.
According to the victim’s friends, they had gone to the spot to catch fish.
“One of our fishing hooks got stuck so he dived into the river to unhook it.
“However, he never emerged from the river after that,” said one of the victim’s friends.
