SIBU: A 35-year-old woman reported missing from her home at Jalan Sentosa since Apr 5, has returned safely to her home.

The victim’s 67-year-old mother had lodged a police report regarding her daughter’s disappearance at Lanang police station at 8.15pm last Tuesday.

Sibu district acting police chief, Supt Collin Babat said the victim who has mental problems, returned home at 3.45pm last Friday after she went missing for four days.

“The victim’s mother contacted the police and informed that her daughter has returned home safely.

“The victim was wearing the same clothes when she left her house at 4am on the day of the incident,” he said.

Relieved by her daughter’s return, the mother went to the police station to retract the police report on her disappearance

Collin revealed that it was not the first time the victim had disappeared from the house as she had gone missing on several occasions.

However, each time, the victim managed to return safely to her house.

“We have advised the mother to take the victim for treatment and monitor her movements to prevent such incident from happening again,” he said.
