KUCHING: For the second consecutive year, Mother’s Day will be celebrated in a modest manner in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.

It is still unsafe for people to gather on a large scale and people have been advised to celebrate it at home instead of eating out.

Mother’s Day, which is celebrated annually, is about honouring motherhood and showing appreciation to all mothers.

New Sarawak Tribune spoke to members of the public on their plans for Mother’s Day.

Many have said they will spend it with their families at home and cook a special meal for their mothers.

They also noted that the day has not lost its meaning despite the restrictions imposed by the pandemic.

There are not many activities that can be done this Mother’s Day. But I plan on cooking a special meal for my mother and it will include some of her favourite dishes. I also wish that my mother will always be happy and healthy.
