The Health Ministry (MoH) is urging the general public, particularly individuals aged 65 and above, to initiate and prioritise moderate physical activities while consciously avoiding sedentary behaviours.
According to the National Health and Morbidity Survey 2019, a concerning statistic reveals that one in four adults aged 16 and above are not engaging in regular physical activity.
Additionally, the Ministry of Health has shared that among the least active individuals, 59 percent are aged 75 and above.
