KUCHING: Mohd Zuhayr Redza may have a small frame, but he’s determined to make a big impact in the Liga Bandaraya as he lines up for Hope FC against D’Cederio FC later today (Sept 8).
Speaking to Sarawak Tribune recently, he expressed excitement about being included in the starting eleven for the upcoming match.
“I was a substitute during the first game, but I’ve been selected for the starting lineup tomorrow. I’ll be playing my usual position on the right wing.
“I plan to use my pace and dribbling skills to challenge the opponent’s fullback during the game,” he said.
flair and quick footwork have the potential to unsettle any defence, making him a player to watch for football enthusiasts.
He also expressed confidence about scoring his debut goal in the Liga Bandaraya.
“We haven’t seen this team in action before, but we have gathered some information about our opponents. Their wingers are fast, so we’ll try to neutralise them by dropping a few attackers to help defend.
“Also, we’ll aim to limit their ball possession and disrupt their counterattacks.
“We focused on improving our defensive positioning in training last week and believe we are well-prepared to achieve a positive result in the upcoming match,” he said.
In the previous football match, Hope FC won 1-0 against Mix FC and will hope to secure another 3 points later today at 3pm.
