KUCHING: About 350 packets of mooncakes were distributed to the needy families and the public from Green Road areas at SJKC Chung Hua No. 4 here on Sunday (Sept 27).
The distribution of the mooncakes was organised by the Green Road Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) in conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Fstival which will be celebrated on October 1.
Present to distribute the mooncakes was Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Satok deputy chairman, Datuk Ibrahim Baki.
Later, the event also witnessed the handing over of a contribution fund of RM1,000 each to SJKC Chung Hua No. 4 and Chung Hua Middle School No. 4 by the Green Road JKKK.
Also present were political secretaries to the chief minister, Tan Kai and Abdul Samat Gani, Satok PBB Youth chief, Councillor Dzamaluddin Zainudin and other representatives.
