The moonlight in the reeds,
Is not there for the hiding;
But to meet fervent needs.
For the humble reeds seek,
Yes, patiently and sincerely,
For that destined, sought after meeting,
And the answering of fate’s calling!
For that’s how it is with lovers:
Though there’s pain in the waiting,
It’s all worth the agony;
For there’s always, the joy and ecstasy,
In the reunion, and melting of the hearts,
After all of the waiting;
The reward is always sweeter!
