LAWAS: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan hopes more facilities will be added to phase two of Pasar Tamu Lawas.
UKAS reported that he had requested more facilities such as toilets, washing facilities and electrical facilities. So far, these facilities are only provided in the Phase One building.
Awang Tengah made his request during his visit to the Pasar Tamu Lawas phase two project site on Friday.
He expressed his satisfaction with the overall construction of the project that cost over RM15.7 million.
“As far as I see it, this building was built beautifully and also equipped with an elevator. Not only that, it is also located strategically,” he said.
With the building expected to be completed on April 26 next year, the Bukit Sari assemblyman hoped the facilities there could help the traders to improve their business.
“Use this opportunity because the number of visitors is increasing. Work hard to improve the quality of our products and skills.
“Of course with these new facilities, it is hoped that traders can maintain the cleanliness because a clean environment will definitely attract more customers,” he added.
