KUCHING: Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) holders can visit kenyalanggold.com to view the list of the initiative’s strategic partners and the benefits they can enjoy.
To date, there are 90 vendors in Kuching, 33 in Miri, 24 in Sibu, 12 in Samarahan and Bintulu each, 10 in Limbang, six in Serian, five in Mukah, three in Sri Aman and Sarikei each, two in Betong, and one in Kapit.
Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah stated that with the special KGC card, members can get discounts, rebates and a free membership on goods and services offered by government agencies, the private sector and commercial sectors who are the strategic partners.
“Take certain H&L retail outlets in Kuching for instance. The card holders can enjoy 10 percent rebate upon showing their KGC and identification cards,” she said during an interview with Borneo Channel portal broadcasted live on Facebook last Saturday night (Feb 27).
She added that when a KGC holder died, his/her next-of-kin could claim a RM3,000 death compassionate assistance from the Social Welfare Department for the purpose of the funeral.
