MUKAH: Daro folk can rest assured of adequate supply of basic essential goods, including chicken eggs.
The assurance came from the Mukah branch of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) which has been regularly monitoring the situation.
“I lead a team of enforcement officers and a price monitoring officer to conduct checks and monitor the situation in Daro bazaar today (Jan 27), and we found that the supply was sufficient,” said branch head Salihin Den.
He assured that there was adequate supply of chicken eggs in Daro bazaar, saying the three main retail outlets have about 400 trays at present, while new stocks of some 1,300 trays would arrive tomorrow (Jan 28) and Monday (Jan 31).
“The supply would be sufficient to cater for current needs in Daro, while the main retailer has assured that there will be no interruption in supply from the main supplier during the festive season,” he said.
