BETONG: Two men survived a collision with a pickup causing their motorcycle to burst into flames.
At 3.40pm today, an emergency call was received by the State Fire and Rescue Operations Centre (Bomba) regarding a collision between a pickup vehicle and a motorcycle.
Firemen from Betong Bomba station was deployed to the incident location on Jalan Betong-Saratok.
“The team found out that a high-powered motorcycle and a pickup were involved in a collision on the road.
“The motorcycle, however, had burst into flames and was completely razed by the fire. The firemen proceeded to extinguish the fire,” said Bomba spokesperson.
The motorcyclist and pillion rider sustained injuries in the collision and were treated by Bomba medical personnel on scene before being transported to Betong Hospital.
The pickup driver and a passenger were safe. Operations ended at 4.40pm.
