LUNDU: Two men narrowly avoided serious injuries after their high-powered motorcycles collided along Jalan Lundu-Sematan on Tuesday.

The accident is believed to have happened at around 11.50 pm at a roundabout near SMK Sematan.

According to the Civil Defence Force (APM) Lundu, a team was dispatched to the scene after receiving a call from the police regarding the accident.

Upon arrival, the team found the riders who sustained minor injuries lying on the road.

Preliminary treatment was administered on-site before they were taken to Lundu Hospital for further medical attention.

Following that, the team returned to the scene to conduct flushing works to clear the road from oil spill due to accident.

Also assisting in the clean-up were firefighters from Lundu station, the police and People’s Volunteer Corp (RELA).
