BINTULU: A 20-year-old motorcyclist cheated death after crashing into a lorry trailer and sliding underneath it at a traffic light intersection, at Mile 7 Jalan Bintulu-Miri last Saturday.
In the 10.40am incident, the rider was coming out from Jalan Sebiew junction while the lorry was heading towards Bintulu from Miri.
“When the light turned green, the lorry started moving when suddenly a motorcycle crashed onto the right side of lorry,” said Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu.
The injured motorcyclist was taken to Bintulu Hospital.
