KUCHING: An IT marketing representative was left shaken after his car colliding into a motorcyclist who died on the spot in an accident yesterday afternoon at about 3.15pm.
Mohammad Asraf Amin, 25, from Kpg Batang Maro, Kabong was believed to have died from head injuries.
Wang, 38, had earlier on met a customer at Tabuan and was on his way to meet another customer at MJC, Batu Kawa when he collided with the motorcyclist at Jalan Stutong.
He said he was driving on the fast lane when he saw a motorcyclist coming straight towards him from the other side of the road. But he did not have enough time to stop.
An eyewitness who refused to be named said he saw the motorcycle coming from the other side of the road towards the car. He also said that there had been a number of accidents at the area due to the sharp bend.
Paramedics arrived to pronounce Asraf dead. His remains were taken by police to the Sarawak General Hospital for a post-mortem.
