BINTULU: An Indonesian man died when his motorcycle collided with a car at Jalan Sungai Nyigu on Saturday night.
His female pillion rider, 39, survived, and was rushed to Bintulu Hospital following the 8pm incident.
According to Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, prior to the incident, the car, driven by a 34-year-old man, was heading towards Bintulu town from Sungai Nyigu while the motorcycle came from the opposite direction.
Following the collision, both the motorcyclist and his pillion rider were flung off the bike.
“The pillion rider is being treated in the intensive care unit while the motorist was not hurt,” said Alexson.
