SAMARAHAN: A motorcyclist died after colliding with a four wheel drive (4WD) at a traffic light junction here.
According to State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the incident took place at Batu 9, Jalan Kuching Serian.
The accident happened at around 11.40pm on Friday resulting in the death of a 64-year-old rider.
“The incident took place at a traffic light junction at Batu 9, where the motorbike was headed from Kota Padawan towards Batu 7.
“The motorbike then collided with a 4WD coming from Batu 7 at the traffic light intersection.
“The rider was confirmed dead at 2.54am on Jan 29 while receiving treatment in an ambulance,” Alexson explained.
He added that the incident was being investigated under Section 41(1) of the road Transport Act 1987.
