SARATOK: A 24-year-old man died after the motorcycle he was riding collided head-on with a trailer at KM 1, Roban-Saratok Road nearby Kampung Mundu, today.

Nur Alif Aidil Roslan died at the scene due to serious injuries sustained following the 2pm incident.

State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said initial investigations found that prior to the collision, the victim was making his way to Roban town while the trailer driven by a 28-year-old was heading for Saratok from Roban.

“It is believed that the collision occurred when Nur Alif had swerved into the opposite lane while negotiating a bend.

“The impact of the crash resulted in the motorcycle being wedged into the right front end of the trailer,” he said in statement.

Alexson pointed out that Nur Alif, a general worker from Sri Aman, suffered head, chest and leg injuries and was pronounced dead at 2.05pm by paramedics at the scene.
