MIRI: A motorcyclist was killed yesterday morning when a car collided with his bike at Jalan Murni in Senadin here.
According to Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, the rider, identified as Lau Ka Kiong, 68, succumbed to serious injuries to his head and body.
Prior to the 9am fatal accident, the car, driven by a 42 year-old man was heading towards Tudan from Senadin when it went out of control and collided with the bike.
As a result, the motorcyclist was thrown off his bike and landed on the road. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. The car driver was, however, unharmed.
