SARATOK: A motorcyclist was killed after he was involved in a fatal crash at KM 46 Jalan Betong-Sarikei on Friday.
District police chief DSP Mordani Tanin said the deceased, identified as 57-year-old Nahar Bohari, died at the scene after he suffered severe injuries during the 10.50am collision.
Initial investigation revealed that the deceased was headed to Betong from Sarikei with his pillion rider when they collided with another motorcycle in front of them, who slowed down to give way for a vehicle to the enter a junction on the opposite lane.
The deceased then lost control of the machine and was flung off his machine before colliding with an upcoming vehicle.
The impact of the crash caused the deceased to suffer internal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics who were summoned to the scene.
The pillion rider and the other motorcyclist suffered minor injuries.
The body was brought to Saratok Hospital for further action.
