SRI AMAN: A motorcyclist from Rumah James Drew Nyelam, Sri Aman was killed in an accident at KM7 Jalan Sri Aman-Kuching yesterday.
In the incident that occurred at around 7.30am, Paul Galatians Ranggong Gima, 23, was heading to Sri Aman from Kuching when the motorcycle he was riding rammed the rear of a Proton Alza car that was turning into a junction.
Following the collision, the victim fell off the machine and was hit by a Perodua Kancil car that was travelling in the opposite lane.
It was reported that the driver of the Perodua Kancil car lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a drain by the roadside.
Paul who sustained serious head injuries died at the scene while the drivers and passengers of both vehicles escaped unhurt.
Sri Aman District Police chief, DSP Othman Sulaiman confirmed the incident and said the victim’s remains were taken to Sri Aman Hospital.
