MIRI: A motorist was killed and another injured when a car they were travelling in crashed into a road divider at Mile 27, Bintulu-Miri road today (April 28).
Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the duo was travelling towards Miri from Bintulu when their car suddenly went out of control and crashed into the road divider around 4.30pm.
The deceased, identified as Muhammad Nabawi Abdul Hashim, 31, died on the spot, while his front seat passenger, Lai Sui Kiong aged 53, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Bintulu Hospital.
Both were workers at an electrical appliances company.
The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
