KUCHING: The Federal government’s decision to move the Registry of the High Court from Kuching to Kota Kinabalu without consulting the Chief Ministers of Sarawak and Sabah reflected Putrajaya’s high handedness and cannot-be-bothered attitude.

Fatimah speaks at an interview on the bill amendment.

This was emphasised by Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah when contacted by New Sarawak Tribune recently.

“When there is no prior consultation done with the Sarawak government as required by the law, it shows high handedness and can’t be bothered attitude.

“This is dangerous and does not augur well for us in Sarawak,” she pointed out.

Concerned over the disrespectful move, Fatimah urged Sarawakians to speak up and put Sarawak first.

“Sarawakians must speak up and defend our rights,” she stressed.
