KUCHING: Singapore will continue to strengthen its collaboration with Sarawak especially in the areas of energy and business opportunities through various initiatives.

Singapore Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry Dr Tan See Leng said his government is committed to expanding its cooperation with Sarawak to boost the economies of both countries.

“We hope to enhance the relationship between Singapore and Sarawak, especially in the field of energy.

“Additionally, we are exploring various initiatives to improve connectivity and unlock further business collaboration opportunities,” he said.

He made these remarks when met by media following a courtesy visit to the Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, at the Astana Negeri Sarawak here today.

He added that the visit also discussed the direction of cooperation between Sarawak and Singapore and expressed appreciation to Wan Junaidi, whom he described as a knowledgeable leader.

Dr Tan began his official working visit to Sarawak today and is scheduled to meet Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Abang Johari Tun Openg in the afternoon.
